Are your friends, family, or colleagues experiencing career transition, career exploration, career confusion, career success or any other career-related issues? Give them Working Wisdom by Career Journeys.
Working Wisdom - offering encouragement and support throughout the career journey.
Career Counseling is the process of self-exploration combined with looking into the world of work. I look at career counseling as a holistic process as your life issues are also a big part of your work issues. Integrating them both into the counseling process makes for a well-rounded approach to career development.
You don’t have to have a license to be a career counselor. Unfortunately this means that anyone, regardless of their experience and training, can call themselves a career counselor. So buyer beware! As a consumer of services you must be aware of what questions to ask and what credentials your service professional has. Just because someone has worked, he/she does not automatically have the qualifications to be a professional career counselor. Career counseling involves skills in counseling, assessment, career theory, cultural issues, etc.
