Serena is a career counselor currently working with individuals and groups in the process of career transition and exploration. In addition to being in private practice she is a consultant working with Southern California Edison in their Career Services Department and Scripps College with their alumnae Bridge Program.
She has also been an adjunct faculty member at California State University, Northridge teaching career theory to graduate students in counseling and also at Santa Monica College teaching in the subjects of career planning and human development.
Her experience and training provides her with a strong background in assessment, career theory, career resources, counseling strategies, job search techniques, resume and interview preparation, as well as facilitation, curriculum and online workshop design, and organizational development. | |

Serena has also worked in career development settings including Career Transition For Dancers, TRW, Kaiser Permanente, Claremont Graduate University’s Office of Career Services, Claremont McKenna College, The Drucker School of Management, and Women At Work. She brings with her over eight years experience in the public relations and communications field, where she worked in a variety of corporations as well in her own consulting practice. | |

Serena has a Master of Science in Counseling, Career Counseling from California State University, Northridge and holds a degree in Mass Communications from the University of California at Berkeley. She is qualified (through the Association on Psychological Type and G/S Consultants) to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator© and the Strong Interest Inventory©.
Serena is also the Past-President of the California Career Development Association and has also held the position of Program Chair for the 2002 International Career Development Conference in Irvine, CA. |
