Serena Santillanes, MS, NCC, MCC, LPCC

President of Career Journeys

Serena is the Founder of Career Journeys, Inc. Over 20 years ago, she formed a clear vision of creating a company that uniquely provided career development services to both individuals and organizations.  Career Journeys , Inc. has been the successful realization of her lifelong dream!

She has been the creator of innovative career development programs for prominent universities, organizations and corporate teams. She has assisted thousands of career transitioning adults in realizing their professional aspirations.  Her experience includes career program/product development and evaluation, leadership development and coaching, facilitation and presentation delivery, curriculum design, creation of online career programs, team building, and assessment selection/interpretation.

As a career consultant, Serena has taken part in evaluating and designing customized career and professional development programs for organizations like Southern California Edison and alumni career programs for Scripps College, USC and Caltech.


Serena has designed and delivered hundreds of resume and interviewing sessions for diverse company workgroup(s) including enterprisewide sessions on internal mobility and reduction in force. She has created and facilitated hundreds of MBTI® team  sessions, and leadership development programs for both organizations and individual clients.


Serena has provided high-level consulting services to such organizations as: Disney, BHP Billiton, NBCUniversal, Asplundh, Hulu, Opus Bank, Edison International, USC, Caltech, Scripps College, University of Miami, and Trinity University, to name a few.


She also serves as an adjunct faculty member at California State University, Northridge in their Educational Psychology and Counseling graduate program where she has prepared future career, college and psychology professionals in honing their "real-world" skills.

As an accomplished industry leader, Serena is a highly sought-after speaker. Her advice has been used by news media including ABC and CBS for insightful commentary on today’s pressing topics such as, the impact our economy has had on adults facing career transition.  Serena has been the President of the California Career Development Association, a keynote speaker for the San Diego Association for Psychological Type three separate times, a featured speaker at USC Women’s Conference, a keynote speaker for USC’s “Ignite Your Career” Encore Trojan Event, featured speaker at the College and University Association for Human Resources on “Creating an Institutional Fit: Strategies for Recruiting the Right Candidate,” a panelist at SHRM Inland Empire’s event on “Human Resources Trends” as well as featured speaker on interviewing strategies for hiring practices. 

She is also a published author on the topic of Personal Branding and Leveraging Your Uniqueness for a text on Communication, Training and Development, Kendall Hunt Publishing. Serena holds a Master of Science in Counseling, Career Counseling from California State University, Northridge and a Baccalaureate degree in Mass Communications from the University of California at Berkeley.

Sarah Goldflam, MS, NCC, LPCC

Career Development and Training Consultant

Sarah specializes in working with both corporations and individuals seeking transformation by taking the best actions to fulfill their career needs and desires. She is a gifted trainer and is dedicated to assisting, guiding and working with individuals during the challenging, and exciting times of career exploration and advancement.

Her extensive training and experience in career services, provide her with an unparalled expertise in career development strategies, assessment and training. She has first-hand experience of career change and advancement, as she transitioned from a legal background to career development. This personal experience has allowed her to easily connect with diverse individuals and provide insightful mentoring in career exploration and advancement.

Sarah has a Master of Science in Counseling, Career Counseling from California State University, Northridge and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminal Justice.  She is a member of California Career Development Association, California Association of Career Development, and National Career Development Association.

April Grossinger, MS, NCC, CPRW

Career Strategist Consultant

April Grossinger is a Career Strategist and the co-creator of Fast Track™, a job search process that has changed career outcomes for hundreds of previously frustrated job seekers. Her work is often described as “empowering” and “transforming” because it breaks through common job search noise, focusing entirely on how people really get hired!


A dynamic speaker and trainer, April has served as a consultant and presenter to organizations including the City of Los Angeles, the Department of Water and Power, Bank of America, Kaiser Permanente, Southern California Edison, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, USC, Caltech, and the University of Redlands. April was a featured speaker at the College and University Association for Human Resources on “Creating an Institutional Fit: Strategies for Recruiting the Right Candidate,” and the Society of Human Resource Professionals on “Effective Interviewing Strategies,” promoting groundbreaking practices for hiring in the 21st century.


Earlier in her career April served as an adjunct faculty member at California State University, Northridge in the Educational Psychology and Counseling graduate program and she was the Associate Director of the nonprofit career center, Women At Work. April holds an Master of Science in Career Development and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Emerson College.


She is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Certified Professional Resume Writer.
